ABSTRACT

Within the scope of this investigation, the significant linkages that exist between number theory and cryptography are dissected, and the mathematical underpinnings that govern contemporary cryptographic protocols are uncovered. The purpose of this project is to improve our knowledge of number-theoretic concepts such as prime numbers and modular arithmetic, as well as their significant importance in the development of secure communication systems. This will be accomplished via a combination of theoretical analysis and practical implementations.
