ABSTRACT
Within the context of this study, the effectiveness of mindfulness meditation as a stress reduction strategy is investigated via the use of a randomised controlled experiment. Our evaluation of the effect that mindfulness practices have on levels of stress is carried out via the use of physiological measurements, self-report evaluations, and behavioural observations. These results provide a contribution to the expanding body of knowledge on mind-body therapies and give practical implications for stress management techniques that may be used in a variety of groups.
